Carex - - Bamboos and Grasses

This is a low spreading creeper which is native to North America; it is ideal used as ground cover. The leaves are fan-shaped and bright green. They are very effective as erosion control on stream banks or pond edges and for accentuating plants in water or tub gardens. They will prefer rich soil that is constantly moist and will thrive in sun or shade. In warmer areas shade is required to prevent drying out and leaf scorch.
