The Strawberry Tree is tolerant to a wide range of soils types and conditions. It has red-brown bark which will crack to reveal a smooth, red inner bark. The leaves are oval dark and glossy and about 2 to 3ins long. The flowers are small and bloom white-pink they will appear in the autumn and winter. The fruits are mealy and bland but very attractive to birds.
